As some readers may know, Y Ddraig started out its existence as a Welsh football magazine, and then after a few issues published moved to a Welsh football website. After some time, and some changes in personnel we moved to a Welsh sports website where we have been for the last 12 months or so.
In recent months it has become clear that with other commitments that there is not the resource to continue as a Welsh sports site and to be able to give you what the aim of Y Ddraig has been. To provide readers with high-quality content with a Welsh twist.
After thinking long and hard there were two real options, to make changes or to close down Y Ddraig. After speaking to others and looking at alternatives, then I am pleased to confirm the following.
Y Ddraig will continue but its primary function will be as a website for Welsh football. We will cover the national team as well as club football and articles on Welsh players playing around the world not just in Wales. There is a number of new writers with Y Ddraig who will be sharing their articles with you and we are excited by this new project moving forward, with still the same objective as before, to provide high-quality content with a Welsh twist.
We hope you all enjoy the content and please feel free to get in touch with us to discuss any potential subjects in the future and if indeed you would like to get involved with this project.
Thanks for your continued support.
