The South Wales Warriors are continuing their pre-season preparation ahead of the new season and will be playing in Division 2 of the British American Football Association for the upcoming campaign.
After a difficult 2017 season which saw the Warriors fail to pick up a win, they’ll drop down a league for the second time in two years.
In 2016 the team played in the top flight against the best teams in the UK but took a voluntary demotion to focus on rebuilding the squad and building a sustainable team for the future. In previous campaigns, fielding a full and strong roster became an issue which is why Coach Geraint Roberts and the team decided to focus on building from the bottom up again for the future of the club.
Now going into the 2018 campaign, the Warriors will be in the west conference of Division 2 South League.
The Warriors will take on the Cornish Sharks, Torbay Trojans, Worcestershire Black Knights, Jurassic Coast Raptors and Somerset Wyverns when the season kicks off, with fixtures yet to be announced.
